Kansas City Chiefs  38  Philadelphia Eagles  35

The Chiefs, who trailed 24-14 after two quarters, scored on every possession in the second half.

Harrison Butker made a 27-yard field goal with just eight seconds left in the game.

Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, battling a high-ankle sprain, completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

It is the second Super Bowl title for Mahomes and the Chiefs in four seasons.

WHL:

Kamloops Blazers  5  Prince George Cougars  4  (Saturday)

Matthew Seminoff scored his second goal of the game with 7.2 seconds left in the 3rd period to snap a 4-4 tie before 5,114 fans in Kamloops.

The loss ended the Cougars’ 5-game winning streak, where they outscored the opposition 33-8.

The (24-22-4) Cougars host the (34-13-3-1) Saskatoon Blades Tuesday night.

Prince George is 2nd in the B.C. Division and 6th in the Western Conference, just four points behind both Everett and Tri-City.

Saskatoon is 3rd in the 12-team Eastern Conference, four points behind Red Deer.

The Spruce Kings only managed a point despite outshooting the Centennials 40-14 before 802 fans at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Greater Vancouver is 1st and Cariboo is 6th in the 9-team division.
