Mr. PG lights up pink for anti-bullying campaign

Mr. PG has made his long-awaited stand against bullying.

The local icon will be lit up in pink from now until pink shirt day on February 22.

“Pink Shirt Day is a great example of the power of youth,” said Amanda Holmes, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC (BigsNBC), the group behind the initiative.

“A few young Canadians took a stand against bullying and to spread the message of kindness.  A school-based initiative has now turned into a nation-wide campaign.  Through our proactive mentoring programs, we can support not only to those kids who may be bullied but also support those youth who are doing the bullying.”

BigsNBC is raising money through pink shirt sales for “proactive mentoring” in the community.

You can find those shirts here.
