The Spruce Kings and the Bucks played last night, with Prince George coming out on top 4-3, thanks to four unanswered goals.
Jake Schneider and Ben LeFranc look a 1-0 deficit and made it 2-1 after one.
Kilian McGregor-Bennett scored the lone second-period goal to extend the lead to 3-1.
Austin Fraser increased the lead to three goals midway through the third. The Bucks scored quickly after, then again with under 90 seconds left, but were unable to complete the comeback.
Cranbrook outshot the Spruce Kings 30-24, each team scored two goals on the powerplay – the Bucks had 3 attempts, the Spruce Kings had 4.
The Spruce Kings record improves to 27-20-5-1, 60 points.
West Kelowna and Salmon Arm both also have 27 wins and 60 points, which means a potential tiebreaker between the three would come down to head-to-head wins.
Vernon is also still in the mix with 58 points, one win behind.
The Spruce Kings play the Bucks again tonight, while Salmon Arm and West Kelowna play each other.
Salmon Arm closes their season against Penticton on Sunday, which could be necessary to determine playoff seeding.
