Second-degree murder charges approved in 2022 fatal stabbing

Charges have been approved in the fatal stabbing of Devon Lindstrom that happened last year.

Early in the morning of June 11th last year, the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at a commercial dwelling unit on Queensway.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

He later succumbed to those injuries in hospital.

“The BC Prosecution Service approved charges of second-degree murder against 29-year-old Dawson Creek resident,” Braidan Josie Meck,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Meck is currently in custody on another matter awaiting his next court appearance.”

Police will not be providing any further updates as this matter is now before the courts.
