The Prince George RCMP has provided an update on a suspicious death investigation that has been ongoing since Friday (June 9), after a decomposing body was found on the 2000 block of First Avenue.
“Investigators have concluded this death was not the result of a homicide. Our Serious Crime Unit has concluded its part of the investigation and has turned it over to the B.C. Coroners Service, who will maintain their own investigation,” Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a release. “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim.”
The body was found inside a tent and was first reported to the RCMP at 2:00 in the afternoon on the 9th.
