Two exhibits exploring “eco-anxiety” opening at Two Rivers tomorrow

Two Rivers Art Gallery’s newest two exhibits will debut tomorrow (Thursday) night.

They are called Dismantled Worlds and Nonreturnables, they both highlight the human race’s relationship with the environment.

Dismantled Worlds was created by an Alberta and New York-based artist, Jude Gabriel, and will feature his work from the last several years in a “balance of dark reality and humour.”

Nonreturnables is a group exhibition with work from artists around BC on display.

Two Rivers said this exhibit specifically focuses on our relationship with plastic, and “transforms a pervasive material in such a way that it feels like we are seeing it for the first time.”

Both of these exhibits will have a grand opening tomorrow night at 7:30, and will remain in the gallery until October 8. The opening is free to attend.
