Tens of thousands of mini donuts devoured at BCNE daily

The 111th annual BCNE is halfway finished, and the craving for mini donuts has been satisfied by thousands.

The Exhibition features carnival rides, food, vendors, face painting and (temporary) tattoos, as well as a dog show, rodeo, and much more to explore inside and outside of the CN Centre.

This includes everyone’s favorite fair treat, mini donuts.

Parmjeet Bhathal, the driver of the local Bites Mini Donuts food truck, estimates he sells in excess of 10,000 mini donuts a day at an event like the BCNE.

Multiply that by three separate vendors all selling the same snack, and you have yourself a lot of mini donuts.

According to the BCNE, around 20,000 people come to the event every year – which means on average, every person through the gate consumes around 2 mini donuts.

Gates to the fair close at 10:30 tonight (Saturday).
