WHL:

The Prince George Cougars hold day three of training camp from CN Centre.

Four scrimmages are taking place with the schedule as follows:

9:00am – 10:30am – Team Connolly vs. Team Byfuglien (GAME)
11:00am – 12:30pm – Team Chara vs. Team Mason (GAME)
3:30pm – 5:00pm – Team Mason vs. Team Byfuglien (GAME)
5:30pm – 7:00pm – Team Connolly vs. Team Chara (GAME)

All on-ice sessions and practices will be open to the public.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings open training camp today from the Kopar Memorial Arena.

Thirty-five players are vying for 25 spots. Camp concludes on Sunday with the Intrasquad game at 5pm.

PG has five exhibition games, all of which are on the road starting with a double-header September 8th and 9th against Chilliwack and Langley.

UNBC Timberwolves:

The Timberwolves men’s soccer team hits the road to Langley this Labour Day long weekend as they take on the Trinity Western Spartans.

Games times are 7:15 pm tonight and tomorrow (Saturday).

The UNBC women are off until September 8th and 9th when they travel to Kamloops and Kelowna to play the TRU Wolfpack and UBCO Heat.

MLB:

Toronto Blue Jays at Colorado Rockies

The Jays are 2.5 games back of the Texas Rangers for the final wild-card spot in the American League.

PG Football:

The Prince George Kodiaks (2-2) next game is September 9th in Langley against the Rams.

CFL:

The BC Lions (7-4) return to action on Saturday when they take on the Alouettes in Montreal (6-4).

Labour Day weekend also has Winnipeg (9-2) taking on Saskatchewan (5-5) in Regina on Sunday.

Labour Day Monday features a double header with the Toronto Argonauts (8-1) in Hamilton to play the Ti-Cats (4-6) while the Edmonton Elks travel to Calgary to take on the Stampeders (3-8).
