Prince George sees September surge in building permit numbers

After a slow year to date for building permit numbers, the Northern Capital saw plenty of development in September.

In the same month in 2022, the city issued 44 permits worth a combined $12.5 million.

New buildings were the driving factor behind the strong month last year.

Four permits for new commercial buildings were issued worth a combined $26.6 million.

Nine permits were issued for new single-family dwellings worth a combined $6.3 million, while one permit was issued new multi-family dwelling worth $1.4 million.
