Operation Red Nose will be underway in Prince George starting tomorrow. (Friday)
The service offers an additional option for a safe ride home after a festive evening, while also getting your vehicle home.
Operation Red Nose will run on Friday and Saturday each weekend until December 16th, as well as New Years Eve.
Brenda Peacock, Chair of the Sponsorship Committee for Operation Red Nose, said they’ll need a minimum of 200 volunteers this year.
“[They money] goes to youth and amateur sport in Prince George,” she explained.
“For the volunteers that come out for charity groups, like we had 4H out last year, based on 25 man nights, they can earn money for their particular club as well.”
During Operation Red Nose’s opening weekend last year, volunteers gave 44 rides.
