City of Prince George launches “Fill the Bin” campaign

The City of Prince George is hoping for help in supporting charity by “filling the bin”.

The initiative is being led by the City’s outreach coordinators and bylaw division, and will run until December 15th.

Bins are ready to collect non-perishable food items as wells as gently used or new winter clothing, such as coats, socks, boots, gloves, scarves, and snowpants.

The City has partnered with Hadih House and the Saint Vincent de Paul Society to distribute the items collected.

“We also recognize that there’s a genuine need in both locations to support the people that obtain services from these locations,” said Manager of Bylaw Services Charlotte Peters.

“We know it is a hard time of year for many people, but we would encourage anyone who is able to donate, to please do so.”
