The gifts have already been delivered in Australia, and Santa is currently making his way west across the world towards kids in Canada and Prince George.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is currently tracking Santa’s location, as they have done on Christmas Eve for nearly 70 years.
“Typically, he is not one to file a fight plan, so what we will have to do is scramble some of our alert fighter jets to go intercept and visually confirm it is Santa Claus,” said Captain Adam Murray, a NORAD mission crew commander. “Hopefully we will be able to escort him across Canada as much as possible.”
Canada’s Transport Minister, Pablo Rodriguez, said he has given Santa the all-clear to travel in Canadian airspace tonight after receiving the proper paperwork from the north pole – and checking it twice.
