In collaboration with UNBC, the Regional District is taking a look at the Official Community Plan for Electoral Area A (Salmon Valley, Nukko Lake, Chief Lake, Ness Lake.)
They will be hosting two open houses they are calling “Community Idea Boards” to give people living in these areas a chance to weigh in.
They are being held on:
- Tuesday, March 12, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Ness Lake Community Hall
- Wednesday, March 13, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Salmon Valley Fire Hall
UNBC’s involvement is a part of a new course they offered this semester called Rural Futures in BC’s Provincial North.
The current Area A Official Community Plan was created in 1997.
