Prince George man arrested on gun charges after rolling his vehicle

The Prince George RCMP arrested one man after he rolled his vehicle at the intersection of Highway 16 and Davis Road.

It happened just after 7:00 on Sunday night (March 10), witnesses told police when the man got out of the car he had a gun.

Police were able to find the man, 29-year-old Dezmon Owens, shortly after.

Owens still had the gun when officers found him which put him in violation of multiple police and court-imposed conditions.

According to police, he has been charged with:

– Operate conveyance while prohibited
– Unauthorized possession of a firearm
– Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
– Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to order
– Carrying a concealed weapon
– Fail to comply with probation x3
– Fail to comply with undertaking

Owens will remain in police custody until his court appearance. No injuries were reported.
