BC Transit’s electronic fare system launched in Prince George

BC Transit’s new electronic fare system is now live in the Prince George Regional Transit System.

The new system, called “Umo” introduces contacless payment methods and new fare products that improve the transit experience, by allowing to pick the best option for them.

With the new system, riders can pay through the Umo Mobility App, which displays a QR code as their fare product.

Alternatively, riders can use a reloadable Umo card, which is available for free from a BC Transit Vendor.

The card can be continually topped up with fare products through a vendor, online, or through Umo’s customer service call centre.

Cash will continue to be accepted as well.

In addition to the new payment system, riders can now purchase a 30-day pass, which can be activated on any day of the month, as well as digital DayPASS.
