WHL:

It will be another full house at CN Centre when the Prince George Cougars host the Kelowna Rockets tonight (Friday) at 7:00 in Game 5 of their second round WHL series.

Prince George enjoys a 3-1 lead.

If the Cougars win they will advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time in 17 years and the fourth time since the team arrived in Prince George 30 years ago.

Even though all the seats and standing room only tickets have been sold for the game, a few additional seats in the stands may be opening up for sale today (Friday) at noon.

ECHL:

Former Prince George Cougars goalie Taylor Gauthier of the Wheeling Nailers has been named the ECHL Goalie of the Year.

The 23-year-old Gauthier had a league-best .923 save percentage.

He also had four shutouts and was second in goals against average (2.23).

 

MLB:

The (10-9) Toronto Blue Jays start a 7-game road trip tonight (Friday 6:40) in San Diego against the (11-10) Padres.

NBA: 

There are two play-in games tonight with the losers out. Chicago is at Miami (4:00) in the Eastern Conference followed by Sacramento at New Orleans in the Western Conference (6:30).
