Timberwolves MBB sign point guard

The 2024 recruiting class for the UNBC Men’s Basketball program continues to take shape.

Today (Monday), the T-Wolves inked point guard Ben White (Richmond, B.C.) for 2024 and beyond.

White, an honour-roll graduate of R.A. McMath Secondary, played last season for Adam Huffman at CTA West, a post-grad prep program based in Calgary, AB. Last season he averaged 5.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

“I like to facilitate and find my teammates for easy looks,” said White who has pro basketball aspirations after his U SPORTS career. “I can score from inside and outside and I give my all at both ends of the court.”

“Ben is a bigger point guard and this is something that excites us as it will add some size to our backcourt and give us a different look defensively as we’ve primarily had smaller point guards over the last number of years,” explained Todd Jordan. “Ben is a steady and reliable player who makes solid decisions, and a capable shooter in spot up situations.”

White visited UNBC last month.
