Moose Jaw Warriors  3  Saskatoon Blades  2  (OT)

The Warriors won the Eastern Conference Championship 4-3 with a league record six of the seven games decided in overtime.

Moose Jaw will play the Portland Winterhawks in the WHL Final.

It will be a 2-3-2 format that begins Friday in Portland.

The PG Cougars season ended when they lost to Portland 2-1 in double overtime Monday before 6,016 fans at CN Centre.

The Western Hockey League held its U.S. Priority Draft today (Wednesday) and the P.G. Cougars selected two players from California.

The Vancouver Canucks begin their second round playoff series tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00 when they host the Edmonton Oilers.

PG Kodiaks football:

The Prince George Kodiaks junior football team has added Chris Szarka to its coaching staff.

Szarka was a fullback for 13 years in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, earning a Grey Cup ring in 2007.

The Kodiaks hold their Spring Evaluation Camp this weekend (Friday to Sunday) with their annual Black and Gold Scrimmage Sunday afternoon at 1:00 at Masich Place Stadium.

 

CFL:

The Canadian Football League has suspended Toronto Argonauts quarterback Chad Kelly for a minimum of nine regular-season games for violating the league’s gender-based violence policy.

The decision comes after the league commissioned an independent third-party investigation into allegations made against Kelly in February by a female former Argos assistant strength coach who is suing him for sexual harassment and the team for wrongful dismissal.
