WHL:

The Prince George Cougars selected high-scoring forward Dade Wotherspoon from Martensville, SK with the 21st overall pick in Thursday’s WHL Prospects Draft.

In 27 games with Martensville U15 AA, Wotherspoon racked up 103 points (53-50-103).

The Cougars made 10 selections in the Draft, five forwards, four defenseman and one goalie.

Defenseman Connor Feeney was the lone Prince George product chosen, going in the 5th round, 91st overall to the Calgary Hitmen.

The WHL Championship series begins tonight (Friday) with the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Portland Winterhawks.
