A little slice of Broadway is coming to Prince George,
For one night only, the CN Centre will host Come From Away, a Canadian Broadway musical on October 1st.
“Come From Away is a truly wonderful and magical Canadian musical, it’s written by Canadians about a Canadian story,” said CN Centre Manager Glen Mikkelsen.
“Of course when September 11th happened many years ago, and the planes were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, and how the people of Gander, Newfoundland welcomed those people into their homes and looked after them for almost a week.”
Theatre Northwest’s season ticket members for their upcoming season will have the first crack at tickets for the show starting on Wednesday (May 29th) next week.
Public tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 31st.
“It’s a real privilege to be hosting this show in Prince George, this is the same tour that’s travelling right now across North America,” Mikkelsen said.
“In fact if you go to Boston next week, you will see this same production, and it’s coming to Prince George, so it’s really a special and magical thing that this show will be in Prince George.”
