Barclay Goodrow was the overtime hero last night, sending New York to Florida tied 1-1 in the series for game 3.
Edmonton and Dallas will play game 2 of their series tonight – Edmonton leads the series 1-0 thanks to a double overtime winner from Connor McDavid on Thursday.
Memorial Cup Final
Saginaw Spirit: 5 vs Moose Jaw Warriors: 4
The home team took game 1 of the Memorial Cup final, though it was a lot closer than they would have liked.
The Spirit led the Warriors 4-0 with two minutes left in the second period. Moose Jaw then scored three times in those final two minutes, sending the game to intermission 4-3.
Moose Jaw’s next game is Monday against the other OHL team – the London Knights.
NBA
Another narrow win has the Dallas Mavericks up 2-0 in their third round series with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Dallas won game 2 last night 109-108 and won game 1 108-105.
The Celtics and Pacers play game 3 tonight – Boston also leads that series 2-0.
MLB
The Toronto Blue Jays will fight to split their best of three with the Detroit Tigers after winning Thursday 9-1 and losing yesterday 6-2.
The Jays are currently sitting last in the AL East with a 23-27 record, Detroit is 24-27.
