Former Conservative candidate Weber to run as independent

Rachael Weber’s name will remain on the provincial election ballot as an independent in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding.

Weber was recently removed as the BC Conservative Party’s candidate in the riding to make room for Kiel Giddens, the BC United Party’s candidate before they withdrew from the election.

She campaigned for the Conservatives for over a year after being named one of the party’s first candidates on August 29th, 2023.

Yesterday (Thursday), Weber announced she would continue her campaign as an independent.

The Prince George-Mackenzie riding candidates are now Weber (Independent), Giddens (Conservative), and Shar McCrory (NDP), who serves on School District 57’s board of trustees alongside Weber.
