Pine Pass under winter storm warning

Environment Canada is warning of hazardous winter conditions in the Pine Pass.

A winter storm warning has been issued for the Pine Pass, with a series of frontal systems moving across the Central Interior over the next couple of days.

These will bring heavy snow at times throughout the Pine Pass.

According to Environment Canada, snow is beginning this morning (Sunday), and is expect to persist into tomorrow morning with periods of heavy snow at times.

The warning is an “Orange Warning”, which, under Environment Canada’s new colour-coded weather alerts system, means severe weather is likely to cause significant damage, disruption, or health impacts.
