Local paramedics sent to hospital after object smashes through ambulance window

Two Prince George paramedics were taken to hospital following a motor vehicle incident downtown.

The RCMP responded to the call at approximately 4:00 p.m., on the 600-block of First Avenue.

“The investigation is still in the early stages, but what we do know is that an object entered a passing ambulance through the window, striking one of the two paramedics. We are asking that anyone in that area who witnessed the event or who has dash camera footage capturing the incident please contact the non-emergency line to speak with police,” stated Corporal Jennifer Cooper.

Both medics were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at UHNBC.

If anyone has information pertaining to this incident, they are asked to contact the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 or Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers.
