For the next four months, Exploration Place is hosting Dinosaurs of BC, a travelling exhibition produced by the Royal BC Museum.
It runs from now until September 13th.
Prince George residents can dig into prehistoric British Columbia and get up close and personal with “Buster”, the Ferrisaurus sustutensis, the first and only dinosaur species unique to BC, as well as the other remarkable creatures that once roamed the province’s highest peaks, densest forests, and most remote river basins.
From ankylosaur and tyrannosaur tracks to preserved marine fossils, Dinosaurs of BC takes visitors through the full arc of palaeontological discovery, from remote mountainside digs accessible only by helicopter to the preparation of fossils for exhibition.
“The Dinosaurs of BC exhibit offers a compelling look at the dinosaurs that once inhabited this region, alongside the ongoing discoveries that continue to shape our understanding of them,” said Curator Alyssa Gerwing. “It invites visitors of all ages to explore British Columbia’s ancient past through an engaging and accessible experience.”
The exhibition is presented in English and Braille.
