Traffic on Giscome Road to be impacted by water service repairs

Traffic on Giscome Road will be reduced to a single lane tomorrow (Thursday), as crews work to repair and install new water main valves.

According to the City of Prince George, around 180 homes will be without water during the work period. This includes properties along Giscome Road at Sommerville Road, McLaren Road E and W, Evasko Road, and 6 Mile Lake Road.

Properties affected by water shutoffs will be notified in advance.

Nearby properties may experience temporary changes in water pressure or sediment. The water is safe to drink, and residents are advised to run taps until the water clears if discoloured.

Motorists are asked to follow signage and use caution near the work area.

The work is expected to take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
