Prince George will be celebrating a Clean Air Day next week.
B.C. Transit and the city stated transit will be free on June 3rd to mark the occasion and help provide an environmentally-friendly transportation option.
The Government of Canada declared Clean Air Day in 1999 as part of Canadian Environment Week.
The goal is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, as well as inspire people to consider changing habits to decrease their individual greenhouse gas emissions.
Local transit will be free all day for all transit riders, including handyDART customers.
