Mounties in Fort Saint James responded to a shots fired call in the area of Highway 27 and Kenner Road.

According to police, the incident occurred prior to 10am on Wednesday after receiving a complaint from the public.

A small grey or tan Honda Civic was believed to be seen fleeing the area.

Out of an abundance of caution, the North District Emergency Response Team was called in to support.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Fort St. James detachment.
