Employment and Training Expo begins today in Prince George

The Prince George Conference and Civic Centre will be home to one of the largest job fair and career transition events taking place this week.

It is being hosted by WorkBC, along with the Prince George Native Friendship Centre and the Prince George Nechako Aboriginal Employment and Training Association.

The event runs from noon to 8:00 p.m today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday), from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to meet employers face-to-face to discuss opportunities, and to bring a resume, though WorkBC will help those who don’t have one.

Employment, training and retraining experts will be on hand to provide advice and information on moving laterally to a new job, or how to change career tracks with training or upskilling.
