Prince George to break 103 year temperature record

For the first time in 103 years, a new temperature record will be set in Prince George.

Lisa Coldwells with Environment Canada says it should get close to the mid 20’s. “A forecast of 23 in the Prince George area would beat the old record of 21.1 set in 1913 and then temperatures dip down to 19 on Tuesday and 21 on Wednesday.”

Coldwells adds the city had a record-tying El Nino matching the 1997-98 totals.

She expects early spring to be warmer than normal.

Prince George is also under a wind warning where gusts could reach between 70 and 90 km/hr.
