UPDATE: Stabbing suspect turns himself in

UPDATE: The Prince George RCMP say at about 1:30 PM, Kyle Garnot attended the Prince George RCMP and turned himself in. He was arrested and will be held for court tomorrow.

The Prince George RCMP are investigating a recent stabbing.

The incident took place just before 7PM on September 1st when police located a man in distress near the intersection of 9th Avenue and Victoria Street.

Officers believe the man had been stabbed.

The male victim was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.

A warrant has been issued for 32-year old Kyle Anthony Garnot of Prince George who is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault and is allegedly responsible for the stabbing.

He is described as first nations with brown eyes and black hair.

He is 6 feet 3 inches tall weighing 300 pounds.
