Traffic fine revenue sent back to municipalities

Over $821,000 has been returned to the City of Prince George.

Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris says this is coming from the Province’s Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing Program.

Morris says money from the program will go towards the city’s crime prevention efforts.

The communities of Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount are also receiving cash from the province from the Small Community Grants.

He says this is to help those communities affected by the economic downturn.
