The massive water main break that plagued downtown Prince George on Thursday is now over.
Senior Communication Officer, Mike Kellett says the issue was resolved during the evening.
“Last night at about twenty to seven the water main at 3rd Avenue and Vancouver was repaired and turned back on. Residents and commercial buildings should run water and if it comes up cloudy run the taps for a few seconds until it becomes clear and is safe to drink.”
The city will open westbound lanes along 3rd Avenue but will be keeping the eastbound lanes from Vancouver to Victoria Street due to paving.
