The ascension of the Northern Lights Estate Winery in Prince George continues.
They’re one of 10 semi-finalists in the Best Company category for the Small Business BC Awards.
Owner/Operator, Doug Bell says the nomination is a by-product of how far small business has come in the city.
“Prince George is really starting to come on the map for such great businesses and we’re really privileged to be a part of them, but we have so many great businesses that are starting to get recognition and turning heads on what can be done in the north and that’s really exciting for us.”
Just the honour alone will help them in more ways than one according to Bell. “The more recognition we get province-wide, the better we can do locally here and we also see an opportunity to grow the business and the brand throughout BC which is going to help employment opportunities in Prince George.”
The winery is one of 12 businesses from Northern BC to be nominated with seven of those from Prince George.
The others include Game Quest, Play Grounds Cafe, Serengeti Northern BC-International and Speciality Grocery Store, and the Prince George Airport Authority.
