As teachers get back to the picket lines around PG schools and the possibility of a school year starting on time having 50-50 odds, Two Rivers’ Gallery has a backup plan for your kids.
Program Director Carolyn Holmes says the gallery will be open for “Creativity Day Camps” starting September 3rd.
She says the gallery is ready to offer a full day of activities.
“We’ll have art activities as always, a couple of big projects, some drawings, games throughout the day, and we’ll always try to go outside, to give them a break,” she says. “We don’t want kids sitting at home and spending the whole week on the computer. It’s going to be active, it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be engaging, it’ll be a great time.”
The gallery isn’t sure how long the camps would run for, given they aren’t even sure if they would need to have them at all if a September strike is averted.
