Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris is heading up a bi-partisan committee looking into the operation of the provinces police watchdog.
The Independent Investigation Office of BC conducts investigations into officer related incidents causing death or serious harm.
As a part of the review process they are asking for public feedback through their website (www.iiobc.ca), but Morris says feedback on the relatively new organization is scarce.
“We’ve had very little feedback” says Morris “Other than a couple of higher profile incidents that the IIO investigated, but for the most part we’ve had surprisingly little feedback from the public and some of the major stakeholders”
Public consultations are planned for Sept 11th in Vancouver.
