The Spokane Chiefs have hired Dan Lambert as their 12th full-time head coach in team history.

He replaces Prince George’s Don Nachbaur, who parted ways with the team at the end of the season, his seventh with Spokane.
The 47-year-old Lambert guided the Kelowna Rockets to the 2014-15 WHL Championship before becoming an assistant coach with the Buffalo Sabres a year later.

Lambert was head coach of the Sabres AHL farm team, the Rochester Americans this past season before he was dismissed.
The Kootenay Ice announce earlier today former New York Ranger James Patrick will be the new bench boss starting in September.
He moves to Southeast BC after serving the last four seasons as the assistant head coach of the Dallas Stars.
