Prince George is hosting two evacuee information sessions Saturday.
The first, taking place at UNBC’s Northern Sport Centre, will be exclusively for 100 Mile House residents evacuated by the wildfires.
The meeting will be hosting by the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) at 2PM, and will also be livestreamed via the CRD Facebook page.
For all evacuees, another town hall meeting is scheduled for this evening in UNBC’s Canfor Theatre, with representatives from multiple organizations, including Northern Health and Emergency Management BC.

They’re expected to provide updates on the current wildfire situation as well as the grocery voucher program.
The session goes for 5PM and will also be livestreamed for evacuees at the College of New Caledonia (CNC).
HEALTH CLINIC DETAILS:
Northern Health’s Health Management Service Clinic provides assessment, stabilization, and connects evacuees to the supports and services they need, regardless of where they’re currently living.
People housed at the Northern Sport Centre can get to the CNC clinic on a free wheelchair-accessible shuttle service provided by the City of Prince George:
- 24-hour service
- Daytime = Every 30 minutes between 11AM and 7PM
- Evening = Every hour from 7PM and 11AM
Walk-In clinic extended hours are currently as follows (this is subject to change, please contact clinic for up-to-date hours of operation):
- Salveo Clinic:
- Monday to Friday 8AM-7PM
- Saturday, Sunday, & Stats 9AM-3PM
- Nechako Clinic:
- July 16th-22nd: Monday to Friday 1PM-9PM
- Saturday 9AM-7PM, Sunday 10AM-7PM
In addition to health, safety, and first aid services, evacuees have a number of other important provisions available to them:
- People, pet, livestock registration & accommodation
- Personal support & food services
- Communication services, including long-distance phone calls
- Parking and transportation services
- Insurance & financial relief services
- Mail, custodial, & laundry services
- Leisure & kids activities
DONATIONS:
Those wishing to donate are encouraged to do so via a donation of funds to the Red Cross’ BC Fires Appeal campaign.
They’re not issuing an open call for the donation of goods, claiming to have an abundance of food and supplies, and instead are working to store, organize, and distribute all donated goods.

Anyone wishing to make a donation of goods to the City is encouraged to ensure that they are new and/or non-perishable.
Please send donations of food, refreshment, new and used household supplies, and clothing to the Salvation Army.
Please send donations of pet food, toys, and supplies to the Prince George Humane Society.
Please do not bring donations directly to the Emergency Reception Centre at CNC or another evacuee facility to drop off goods because they cannot be stored there.
