The Prince George Cougars are in Kamloops where they conclude a three-game road trip tonight.
The Cougars are 1-3 while the Blazers are 0-5, the only winless team in the WHL.
Kamloops has not held the lead in any of its five games.

Cougars forward Jackson Leppard is on the Central Scouting preliminary ‘Players to Watch’ list for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
Leppard has been given a “C” rating which is an indication he’s projected to be anywhere from a 4th to 6th round draft pick.

The 5-3-1-0 Prince George Spruce Kings host the 2-5-1-1 Surrey Eagles Friday and Saturday.
The Spruce Kings have already played Surrey three times this season winning two of them.
CARIBOO COUGARS:
The 4-0 Greater Vancouver Canadians travel to Prince George to face the 1-2-1 Cariboo Cougars Saturday at 4PM and Sunday at 10AM at Kin 1.
NHL:
The NHL regular season opens tonight with two of the four match-ups involving Canadian teams; Calgary at Edmonton and Toronto at Winnipeg.
The other opening games have St. Louis at Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at San Jose.

The Buffalo Sabres and forward Jack Eichel have agreed to an eight-year contract extension worth a total of $80 million.

The Vancouver Canucks have acquired defenceman Derrick Pouliot from the Pittsburgh Penguins for minor league defenceman Andrey Pedan and a fourth-round draft pick next year.
Pouliot has 14 points (2G, 12A) in 67 games for the Penguins the past three seasons.

The Yankees advance to the best-of-five American League Division Series (ALDS) against the Indians beginning Thursday in Cleveland.
The Colorado Rockies visit the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight in the National League Wild-Card game with the winner to meet the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Toronto Blue Jays have confirmed they won’t be picking up the option of Jose Bautista’s $17 million contract for 2018.
The decision means it is “unlikely” that Bautista will play for the Jays next year.
HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL:
The Duchess Park Condors have jumped from #2 to #1 in the Provincial High School Boys Volleyball AA rankings.
The Condors have won three straight tournaments.
College Heights has slipped one spot from #4 to #5.
DP Todd is out of the rankings after sitting at #8 last week.
UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:
The UNBC Timberwolves are on the road this weekend in Canada West Soccer.
The UNBC men visit UBC Okanagan, while the Lady Timberwolves are at MacEwan Saturday and Sunday.

The two teams play Thursday in Tampa Bay.
