PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS:

A seven-game road trip for the 3-5-2 Prince George Cougars will start Friday night in Edmonton against the 4-6-2 Oil Kings.

The Oil Kings are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss Wednesday against the Victoria Royals.

The Cougars also play Saturday in Red Deer and Sunday afternoon in Calgary.

The Cats trip will also include stops in Vancouver, Kelowna, Portland and Everett.

They won’t play again at the CN Centre until November 10th when they host Everett.

The Cougars are fourth in the BC Division (two points behind Kelowna and Vancouver) and ninth in the Western Conference.

PRINCE GEORGE SPRUCE KINGS:

The Prince George Spruce Kings are on Vancouver Island for three games in as many days.

The 7-4-2-1 Spruce Kings visit the 8-3-1 Powell River Kings Friday before facing off Saturday in Alberni Valley and Sunday in Nanaimo.

Prince George slipped to second in the Mainland Division Wednesday night, one point behind the Rivermen after Langley upset the Penticton Vees 2-1.

It was the first loss in 10 games this season for the Vees.

Prince George, 14 games = 7-4-2-1 (17 points)

CARIBOO COUGARS:

The 5-2-1 Cariboo Cougars put a six-game unbeaten streak on the line when they play the 2-4 Thompson Blazers in Kamloops.

The two Major Midget teams meet Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The 2-2-1 Vancouver Canucks visit the Boston Bruins tonight which is their second stop on a five game

UNBC TIMBERWOLVES:

(Canada West Women’s Soccer)

The Canada West soccer regular season concludes this weekend.

The 3-7-2 UNBC Lady Timberwolves can clinch a playoff spot with a win Saturday against Thompson Rivers Saturday in Kamloops.

The UNBC women also play Sunday in Kelowna against UBC Okanagan.

(Canada West Men’s Soccer)

The UNBC men’s soccer team will watch the scoreboard after finishing its season with a 5-5-6 record.

The UNBC men can make the playoffs if UBC Okanagan earns one point or less and Victoria earns three points or less in their remaining two games.

UBC Okanagan (5-5-3) plays TRU (5-3-5) twice while Victoria (5-7-1) battles Fraser Valley (4-7-3) and Trinity Western (6-4-4).

NBA:

The Toronto Raptors tip off their season when they host the Chicago Bulls tonight.

 

NFL:

The Oakland Raiders try to end a four-game losing streak when they host the Kansas City Chiefs in Thursday night football to kick off Week Seven of the NFL season.

The Raiders are 2-4, while the Chiefs are 5-1 and tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for the best record in the league.

 

CFL:

The Saskatchewan Roughriders can clinch a playoff spot if they win Friday in Calgary against the 13-1-1 Stampeders.

The 8-7 Roughriders are four points ahead of the BC Lions with three games left.

The 6-9 Lions host Edmonton Saturday.
