Fatal collision near airport Sunday morning

One man is dead following a collision on the Old Cariboo Highway Sunday.

Just before 10am, Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a crash near the intersection of the highway and Cumming Road.

Police say it was a tractor-trailer and a pick-up truck involved.

The driver of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The incident resulted in the highway being closed for a number of hours.

Anyone who may have witnessed, or has any information on, the incident is being asked to contact Prince George RCMP at (250) 561-3300, or Crime-Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
