Four sites added to PG Heritage Register

The Prince George Heritage Register can add four new names to the list.

Taylor House, Quinson Elementary School, trees along Vancouver Street, and tree along Dogwood and Elm Street have all been added to the list.

“They have identifiable heritage values to our city,” explains Chair Caroline Ross.

“Either they’re historical values, aesthetic values, spiritual values, architectural values in some cases.”

Taylor House was home to two former mayors, Fred D. Taylor and Harry G. Perry.

Quinson Elementary was built in the 1960’s with pentagon-shaped classrooms in an effort to enhance student-teacher interaction.

All of the trees added were planted generations ago and have become defining features of their neighbourhoods.
