City Council Preview: February 5th, 2018

The February 5th, 2018, regular council meeting for the City of Prince George will open with council Celebrating Success by recognizing members of Prince George 4-H Clubs who submitted project record books for consideration. According to the agenda, the 4-H Project Record Books are an analytical and creative endeavor by members who track everything related to their agricultural projects in raising animals, poultry, or gardening.

Two delegations are planned, one from the Omineca Arts Centre and the other from the Prince George Council of Seniors.

In the reports, council will vote whether or not to prepare and submit a bid proposal from the City of Prince George to host the 2019 North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) Annual General Meeting and Convention.

Finally, eight bylaws will go through final reading, if approved, adoption. The key one highlighted will be the new Nuisance Abatement and Cost Recovery Bylaw. This bylaw will regulate, prohibit, and impose the requirements relating to the reduction of nuisances. It will also aid in the cost recovery process to handle the matters.
