WATCH: PG residents, local hockey players share respects at Humboldt Broncos vigil

WATCH:

Prince George residents have created a vigil to recognize the lives lost in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Candles, flowers, & 15 balloons are on display outside the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA), one for each victim from the Friday night incident.

“I am just heartbroken for all the loss and all the tragedy. I saw that Humboldt was doing a candlelight vigil and I just thought that as a hockey community, it would be nice to show our support. It’s just really sad and I couldn’t imagine losing a child.”

– Vigil Organizer Yvonne Shuman

Members of the Spruce Kings also came to the vigil to pay their respects.

“I know we had players that had friends of the players that were on the bus, and helping those guys and helping the victims is the best we can do.”

– Spruce Kings Captain Kyle Johnson

The Humboldt Broncos’ GoFundMe page has surpassed $5 million in donations, and for a link to the site, you can go to the top of this page.
