BC Hydro crews make quick fix to Pineview circuit

Hydro crews were left scratching their heads on Thursday following a brief power outage east of Prince George.

About 2,200 customers from north of Alpine Drive to just east of Northwood Pulpmill Road.

“At about 11:28 yesterday, crews received a trouble call on a Pineview circuit, they made the necessary repairs and restored the service but it wasn’t overly exciting from our perspective as there was nothing like lightning, wind or animals found in the area,” says Dave Mosure, BC Hydro Spokesperson.

It was a quick fix for hydro crews making the whole ordeal a lot less frustrating.

“It took them about 25 minutes to locate the point and about three to five minutes to make the repair so everybody was back on at noon.”
