Prince George assembles for first screening of newest Avengers movie

Kyle Balzer, My PG Now

Destiny arrived Thursday night for hundreds of Prince George residents taking in the first official screening of ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’

Fans came dressed up to the nines for the cinematic occasion, lining up from the front doors of the Cineplex Theatre all the way to London Drugs in Parkwood Place.

Super-fan of the super-hero film Morgan Littlechild, dressed in an Iron Patriot mask, says he’s been waiting a decade for this movie to come to fruition.

“A culmination of all these superheroes being brought together on one big screen, that’s a big moment for me as a fan. I’m a little older now; I was 13 years old when ‘Iron Man’ first came out, so being an adult now, it still holds a lot and it’s a special spot.”

Littlechild says he’s been to other movie premieres in the Northern capital involving the Marvel movie franchise, and he’s never seen local support like this before.

“It’s honestly amazing to see so many people; younger generations are here and even older generations are here too. It’s good to see something like this because this movie is something all ages can enjoy. I’ve been with crowds when ‘The Avengers’ first came together in the first movie, and then again in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ It’s pretty awesome to see that it keeps growing each time and it’s growing in numbers by the looks of it too.”

The first screening at 7PM sold out quickly, according to the Cineplex website.

Notable and popular costumes seen at the PG theatre were Iron Man and Captain America.
