Forestry Museum starts work on new pavilion

Ground has been broken for a new state-of-the-art display pavilion at the Railway and Forestry Museum.

The covered area will house 6-10 railcars that will be seen at the museum.

Executive Director Ranjit Gill says this is part of the museum’s efforts to be more accessible.

“So the last five or six years we’ve focused on accessibility,” says Gill, “we’ve paved our walkways, our parking lot as well as built ramps, the only thing that isn’t accessible is the rail cars.”
