Over 800 volleyball teams, 13 from PG, competing at massive tournament

After winning bronze at the Provincials (third out of 64 teams) in Abbotsford, the Prince George Youth Volleyball Club (PGYVC) Kodiaks Red U-15 Girls face a bigger challenge in its attempt to capture a medal at the Club Nationals in Edmonton this week.

There are 160 Girls teams in the U-15 division.

PG Kodiaks Red is ranked 12th (second BC team) out of 32 in Tier 1.

Round-robin play begins Thursday.

There are a total of 864 Girls and Boys teams, aged 14 to 18, spread over 24 divisions.

The matches will be played on over 50 courts at the new Northlands Expo Centre.

The PG U-15 Boys, coming off a fourth place finish at Provincials, are ranked 15th as the top BC Team.

There are a total of 13 PGYVC teams entered in the tournament which concludes on Tuesday.

  • 14 Red Boys
  • 14 Red & Black Girls
  • 15 Red Boys
  • 15 Red & Black Girls
  • 16 Red Boys
  • 16 Red & Black Girls
  • 18 Red & Black Girls
  • 18 Red & Black Boys
