It is the first Memorial Cup title in the 49-year history of the Titan.

Evan Fitzpatrick, a second round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2016, recorded a 28-save shutout.

17-year-old Max Paddock made 41 saves in a losing cause (with the last goal into an empty net).

NHL:

The Stanley Cup Final opens tonight (5PM) with the Washington Capitals at Vegas, which is the first game in eight days for the Golden Knights.

The two teams also play in Vegas Wednesday before the series shifts to Washington Saturday and Monday (June 4th).

The Golden Knights are 6-1 at home in the post-season.

The Capitals are 8-2 on the road in the playoffs.

The Capitals team includes 26-year-old forward Brett Connolly of Prince George and former PG Cougars head coach Lane Lambert as an assistant coach.

LeBron James hooped 35 points and added 15 rebounds and nine assists to advance to his 8th straight NBA Finals and 9th overall.

James played all 48 minutes and had 12 of his points in the fourth quarter for his sixth straight Game 7 win.

It was the first home court loss in the playoffs for the Celtics (10-1).

In the West, Game seven will be played tonight (6PM) in Houston with the Rockets hosting the Golden State Warriors.

Rockets all-star guard Chris Paul, who did not play Saturday due to a hamstring injury, is listed as a game time decision.

The winner will host Cleveland in the opener of the championship series on Thursday.
