–The Kelowna Rockets scored three goals on the power play for the second consecutive night to beat the Prince George Cougars 6-2 and sweep the double-header before 2,902 fans at CN Centre. The Rockets led 5-0 at the midway point of the game as they won for the 20th time in 22 games. The Cats slip to 11-11. The Cougars continue their 8-game home-stand Tuesday and Wednesday against the Vancouver Giants.

–The Prince George Spruce Kings beat the Surrey Eagles for a second straight night. In front of 982 fans, the Spruce Kings outscored the last place Eagles 5-2 to increase their first place record to 14-8-0-2. Next action for the Spruce Kings will be Wednesday when they visit Chilliwack.

–The Cariboo Cougars whipped the Vancouver North-West Giants 5-1 in the BCMML. League-leading scorer Austin Gray notched a hat trick. The same teams meet again today at 9:45am at Kin 1.

–The Fraser Valley Cascades edged the UNBC Timberwolves 62-60 in Canada West men’s basketball. Fraser Valley also won the women’s game, 81-57 over the Lady Timberwolves. The Cascades swept the double-header. Fraser Valley won the Friday games 82-59 on the men’s side and 83-57 in women’s action. The 0-4 Timberwolves have their home openers Friday and Saturday (November 21st and 22nd) against Mount Royal.
